Lipscomb announces major gift

This month, Lipscomb University (Nashville, TN) announced it had received a $15 million gift, the largest financial gift in its history, from George Shinn, former owner of the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets. Shinn made the gift as an investment in Lipscomb’s College of Entertainment & the Arts, the fastest-growing college within the university; it includes undergraduate degrees in cinematic arts, fashion and design, music, theater and dance, and visual arts and a graduate program in cinematic arts.
